We had to do a lot of things around the house to get it ready to sell. And once again, I had to paint the kitchen cabinets. In case you haven’t heard about my saga known as “these annoyingly stupid kitchen cabinets” you can read here. After I painted them that time.. the paint peeled off. Truly I think the paint that I had used that time was bad. So two weeks ago I stripped all the paint off, sanded them, and painted them again. It actually went a lot quicker and looks awesome.
My favorite thing though is something I have wanted to do for a long time. I painted the inside of the cabinets with chalkboard paint! I simply taped off the edges of the cabinet, used newspaper to shield all the sides, counter-tops, and shelves and then painted it with chalkboard spray paint that I had left over from my Valentine’s Chalkboard Wreath.
I painted the insides of the bottom kitchen cabinets too so the kids can sit there and play with chalk. I didn’t tell Damion though and he thought Princess Newbie was just digging in the cabinets. She got mad when he pulled her away from her new chalkboard. Don’t worry, I told him to put her back.
This is a great idea for grocery lists, menus, reminders, children to play, and little notes for your husband. See, I left him one this morning:

That is so cute! I bought this roll of chalkboard wallpaper at Michael’s a couple weeks ago and I keep meaning to put it in my cabinets…
I’m also digging the quote. lol.
