Lately I’ve lost my mojo. Maybe it got left in one of the miscellaneous boxes that wouldn’t fit in the Uhaul and got left at the curb? Perhaps one of the kids took it and is hiding it upstairs in their closet as their “pet”. I’m not sure what it is but all I know is that I want to get it back. That is a hard thing to do when there’s a thousand boxes just laughing at you, kids that need to be taught because they need to pay for my retirement, and a huge house to get used to cleaning.
There is no time right now for making things. AH HA! But my friend Courtney did not get this memo and I am so extremely happy that she did not.
She came over the other day lugging this huge bag of craft supplies with her and we made stuffed pumpkins. She had seen the idea at a crafty market in west Texas, went home, and figured out how to make it herself. Then she came over to show me and I love her for it.
I needed that break, that time to be who I am and not who these boxes are trying to convince me to be. (Boxes are evil). We painted, glued, stuffed and it was GLORIOUS! Not only that but now I have a super cute pumping hanging by my door. Win, win for me.
I realized half way through that I should of taken how to pictures during the craft but I didn’t. (sorry) If you think you need a step by step tutorial to do it just let me know and you know I’ll be on it. If the boxes don’t like it I’ll just duct tape them to the wall.
Here’s the finished products….
This is the front.
and the back. It’s reversible!!
The front of mine. Courtney has better handwriting than I do.
The back of mine.
I love both of them. It’s so cute, so easy and inexpensive because burlap is cheap! Thanks Courtney!
