In college I had some good friends who stuck by me in some extremely hard times. There was a time that was darker than dark for me and Lacy walked through it with me patiently and without judgement. I really do not think I would have made it through without her and I am beyond thankful to her.
Three years ago Brandon and Lacy had a little girl named Haven Grace. She was born with heart issues and in august of this past year she received a new heart. Since then she has done really well, finally able to get rid of the feeding tube that she had for so long and just blossom as a little girl. This past weekend she was life flighted back to Children’s Hospital in Dallas because her body was rejecting the heart.
Yesterday she went into cardiac arrest and had a really bad day. Today the doctors have told her parents that at this point there is nothing more they can do. Unless God steps in, Haven Grace will be leaving us soon. My heart is crushed for them beyond belief.
But I love Brandon and Lacy because of their extreme faith. They don’t look at the obstacles in the road and see a road block, they see a chance to make a difference by helping to move those obstacles. In an interview with Clint Yeats for KLTV Lacy said, “No matter what happens. No matter if Haven does stay with us or she does go, which I really believe God is totally going to heal her, but no matter what happens that God be glorified is the main thing. He is the only for sure thing that we have,”. That is Lacy. That is how she lives, that God be glorified. That is how I want to live too but I fail each day.
If you believe, please pray for Haven and her family. All her immediate family has gathered there at the hospital to spend every second they can with her and they need prayers for support.
I still believe that God could work a miracle and heal Haven completely. However, I know that God is a good God and whatever He does, He knows what is best for us all. Thank you God for Haven, for her parents, and for our faith that knows you never stopped doing miracles.
Haven Grace has a Facebook page where you can get updates and see their prayer requests. Praying for Haven Grace.

Edited 2:40 pm – Haven is not doing well and unless God says otherwise, will not be on earth much longer. Her family needs your prayers as they are having to see her body go through this and it’s getting very tough. Please pray for their comfort and for them to know that God is still the mighty healer, even if it’s not in the way we hoped. Through it all she, yes the mighty three year old, has maintained her faith and showed the strength of a warrior. Maybe she is just too great to be in this world.
Haven passed away later that afternoon. She was an amazing little girl that inspired others for Christ.
