Crazy Good and a Change

gracesprinklers Crazy Good and a Change

This time in my life is crazy…. crazy good.

Damion and I have been getting along great and with our 9th anniversary creeping up in the coming months, I just feel like running up a thousand steps to the Rocky Theme song. It’s a victory. Every single month, every single year is a victory our very rough beginning and against those statistics for marriage in America. Sunday I got a little too much sun and felt bad. I asked him to get me some Gatorade and before I could even turn around he was already in the car, headed out to the store. It’s the little things that speak volumes.

Within the next week we’re hoping to finish the girl’s current grade levels of kindergarten and first grade which is great since we started a month late and now we’re finishing right on time. But I don’t see the point on taking a summer break in Texas because it’s too hot to do anything outside so we’ll be picking back up after a short week break and going into the next grade level early. We’ll still make plenty of time for summer fun but when it’s too hot to do anything else, we’ll just hit the books. I saw a great idea for summer fun this past week and now I’m itching to do it. Maybe this week?? Maybe you’ll see it or maybe I’ll be my usual scatterbrained self and forget to post it.

This week is huge for the girls. Princess Girly girl has her last gymnastics class for this school year and both of the older girls have their Awanas awards ceremony at church. It’ll be a lot of fun and when all that fun is over and the swim meet is finished, hopefully we’ll take a long road trip to see some family.

The biggest thing that I need your feedback on is a name change. Not mine of course since it only took 7 years for me to legally change my name after the wedding but the blog’s name. Why on earth you ask? Because I love crafts and I’ll still do them all the time. I’m just not complete if some body part is not accidently glued to another part. But because of the crazy life right now, I just can’t make them time to do them as much as I need to maintain a full time craft blog. This has been on my mind for awhile but it’s time for me to make the step. I would rather have a chronicle of my life for my kids to know how much I tried to live a life of integrity with the occasional crafts and creative living tips thrown in.

So what do you think? I have a name on the back burner but is there one that you think would fit? Do you think it would be the right move? I want your opinion, please leave it in the comments below.

I don’t have any recommendations for a name change but I say go for it!! I enjoy your blog crafts or not! We are homeschooling year around too…Texas is definitely too hot in the summer to enjoy the outdoors (I’m a wimp when it comes to heat). Anyway, looking forward to seeing the new name!!

  2. I don’t know of a name either, but I’ll be excited to see what you choose.

    • Thanks Beth. I keep going back and forth. I bought BobbieByrd.com a few nights ago but nothing is on it yet.

  3. I like Creative Mothering. It is so…….you.
