So you wanna be my best friend?
Here’s a few things you might need to know……
1. I met my husband, Mr. Byrd, online but I didn’t tell my dad that until our rehearsal dinner. Remember this was years ago when everyone thought that men on dating sites were all secretly mass murders.
2. I smoked for about a month in college. My boss wouldn’t let me take a break unless it was a smoke break so I gave it a try. Turns out I’m a huge failure at smoking so after a month I got smart and bought candy cigarets. Yes, you can take a smoke break with candy cigarets and they taste better too.
3. I have to have milk to put my chocolate cake in and I drink with a straw 99% of the time.
4. I’m named after my two grandfathers, Bobby and Joseph, which makes Bobbie Jo. People always ask me if my real name is Barbara. What? How? Nevermind. My girls should be grateful I didn’t name them after their grandfathers or one of their names would have been Jerry Steve.
5. No one in my family actually calls me by my real name. My sister Laura calls me “sugar”, my sister Debra calls me “B” and my sister Julia calls me “jerk” (sometimes) but usually just calls me “sister”. My dad calls me “#1 daughter”, but he calls all his daughters that. I’m not sure how we can all be #1, it’s more like we should each be .25% daughter. Damion also calls me “B” and my grandparents call me “BJ” because they are not up on modern vernacular.
6. My sister Julia is a rockstar but she did not pay me to say that. However I might bill her for it.
7. The most popular post on this blog is the Water Blob. The second most popular is How To Cut Burlap In A Straight Line.
8. Princess Newbie’s 3rd birthday is tomorrow. I think a bit of my heart just died. She is so amazing.
So enough about me. What about you? What one thing we need to know about you?
How funny!!! My husband and his family all do that too (cake in a bowl with milk). It’s not for me though…I prefer my cake on a plate without milk on top. haha! And one thing you should know…hmmm…I have been SO good on my diet today and I just ruined it by eating 12 mini powdered Hostess Donettes. Ya. 12. They were sooooo worth it though!
I think powdered donuts aren’t allowed to be put towards daily calorie counts!
My innitials are JR , so growing up my parent’s always told me I was named after JR from the T.V show Dallas , which they loved. I have many different nick names as well but I will spare you and not share them. I have an aunt named Bobbie! and I have an aunt named Jerry! My youngest will be turning 2 at the end of August ( I am using your peg doll tutorial to make her some peg dolls for her bday ) Knowing that my baby days are over is bitter sweet. When I was pregnant with my youngest we didn’t have internet or cable but I had internet on my blackberry and the only thing that kept me sane during those very hot summer months of being prego was reading your blog on my blackberry and checking my FB! lol I am also one of 4 girls , I am the 3rd girl , but there is a brother in the mix as well so that makes me the 4th child out of 5. When you told of your love for cake in milk it made me think of Jana’s love for pickles in milk!
I how ever love niether one of those combos.
I didn’t know that Jana liked pickles in milk. Whaaaat?
Oh and I too met my husband online and one of my logical reasons why it was ok to do that was becaus I knew several different people who had sucsess stories with relationships from online , one of which was yours!
When I told my Dad how I met Adam , he didn’t understand..lol
ha! And now Jana has met Matt online.
While Glen and I knew each other for a few years before we got together (RL friends), we did our “dating” and “getting to know you stuff” online. I knew I loved him before we even officially started dating and not many people know that we’ve been together for 4 years in 18 days

While Trey and I grew up and lived next door to each other, we actually re-connected via MySpace. He was too shy to knock on the door to get my number. I know, Trey? Shy? Ha. Not sure that I ever told you that???
I drink out of straws 99% of the time as well.
