Last year we had just moved when autumn hit and the last thing I wanted to do was to pack up everything I had just set out and decorate. Now we’ve been here a year and I’m ready to decorate for fall and getting excited about glitzing up the house for christmas too. I can finally say I’m done decorating my mantel mainly because no more pumpkins or gourds will fit.
As you can see, I added in the Candles I made using dollar store candles and some dollar store rope. I really like them a lot.
On the right side of the mantel I added a basket of acorns with a berry wreath and a lantern full of pumpkins. There’s also a cinnamon scented broom on either side of the mantel that smell amazing.
The only thing I bought were the pumpkins and cinnamon scented brooms. Everything else I already had and Damion’s grandmother sent us home with the gourds, which the girls added to the mantel.
I really like it because it has a lot of great fall colors with the bright green pops. I love bright green. And my husband just asked me how much I’ve spent on pumpkins this year so it’s time to run and hide.

I love Fall. Its my very favorite season. OF ALL. I love your mantle. I wish I had “smell o puter” so I could smell your lovely cinnamon seasonal scents. I’m going to have to check out your post on making your own candles, that sounds like fun, and easier than the old fashioned way. Thanks for sharing!
