This is easily one of my new all time favorite projects and I have loved it since I first saw it on The Lettered Cottage. I’m afraid that if I don’t use restraint than my entire house will be covered in these easy spray painted mason jars. This project is so easy that anyone can do it and the great thing is that it uses your recycled glass mason jars. So now you have a reason to serve your kids spaghetti for every meal because you’re going to need the glass jar to make these amazing Mason Jar Candle Votives this fall. It’s a cute and easy mason jar craft.
First you simply need to gather your glass jars, spray paint and foam letter stickers. You could probably use any alphabet stickers but the foam gives you something to grab onto when it’s time to peel the stickers off. This craft takes about 10 minutes from start to finish and that is not a lie.
To get started you simply put the stickers on the jars. If they’re uneven or you don’t like how they are placed, they peel off and can be restuck pretty easily.
Next you quickly give each jar two light coats of spray paint. Since I was working on a warmer day (it’s Houston) that had no humidity (shocking for Houston) than the paint was dry to the touch almost immediately.
Then all you do is peel off the stickers. Yes. That’s as hard as it gets.
Some of the stickers left a little residue that was easy to scrape off with my finger nails but it didn’t take any time at all.
You’re goign to be left with this cute fall mason jar craft that makes a great mantle decoration, table scape for Thanskgiving dinner or ever a cute teacher’s gift. Place a candle inside and the light will be simply amazing as it dances through the unpainted glass.
It has been so hard not to show you the pictures of this craft on Instagram this week! Also my friend Kristi is showing off her candy corn votive candle today so head over to Mom’s Confession to check it out.
If this kind of craft is right up your alley, don’t forget about the painted vases craft. It’s just as simple with great results.
