10 years ago this week I was packing my things, enjoying my last day of work at my job and going to my final dress fitting before walking down the aisle to marry the handsome and dashing Mr. Byrd. A lot of things have changed since then. We now have three little girls, are finally happy living in Houston and spend a lot of time cleaning up the mystery fluids that come with being a parent. One thing has not changed: He is impossible to buy gifts for. The past ten years have been spent looking for the perfect christmas gift, birthday gift or anniversary gift for a man that has no needs or wants.
I bought him a lovely wedding gift, on the day of our wedding. His birthday gifts are usually found at the last minute or just a nod to tell him to go ahead and buy the computer part he’s been wanting that I’ll never understand. He is well aware that I still haven’t found him a tenth anniversary gift so I thought you guys could give me a little help along with amazon.com.
First there’s Beats by Dr. Dre headphones. I know I’ve seen him oggle these a few times but the price is a little too high and lacks any sentimental value.
Unless you want to send a message that him not being able to hear you speak is a good thing these might not be the perfect anniversary gift.
My husband is a cajun through and through who is loyal to the Ragin Cajuns first and LSU second. He’s also a big gamer so this Ragin’ Cajun skin for his Xbox would be great but he lays his xbox on it’s side on a shelf that fits it perfect. Therefore the text is going the wrong direction. I was so close with this one!
Here’s a little known fact about the Byrds: we like bobble heads. It’s fun and kinda weird, just like we are. Mr. Byrd is also the point in the road where geek meets nerd so a hobbit bobble head might be the perfect keepsake for 10 years of marriage.
We rarely agree on movies to watch. For some reason he doesn’t like to watch The Notebook with me. But there is one type of movie that we both enjoy watching together – Super hero movies.
That’s why this Marvel Comic Book wallet would make a great gift. It’s inconspicuous on the outside but fun on the inside and shows something we do together.
And finally…. this one might be too obvious.
What would a big anniversary be without a subtle reminder for your husbands car? The I love my hot wife bumper sticker will be the the thing that seals the deal for the perfect anniversary gift.
So there’s your options. What should I get him for our anniversary? Or do you have a better idea? Leave a comment and let me know!
