Today is a day to celebrate. 2013 is coming to an end and we have a brand new year beginning. The good news is that if you’re still looking for last minute drink recipes, you’re in luck. Today I’m sharing two quick and easy cocktails with you.
First let’s start with a holiday cocktail to serve on New Years Eve. It’s spicy with hints of gingerbread, making it the final way to say goodbye to the holidays. Without a doubt it’s also the best way to bring back Christmas at anytime throughout the year.
Say hello to the Spicy Gingerbread Cocktail.
It’s creamy and spicy radiating the holiday spirit from within.
The best news is that it’s simple to make.
Spicy Gingerbread Cocktail – for one individual serving
1 shot Rum
dash of ground ginger
dash of cinnamon
cinnamon stick (optional)
half and half
To make the cocktail place a shot of rum, dash of ginger, dash of ground cinnamon into a high ball glass. Add a whole cinnamon stick if you wish. Fill the rest of the glass with chilled Cream Soda leaving space at the top for the cream. Add another dash of half and half to the top and stir. Add more cream if you wish.
Now enjoy a little holiday party in cocktail form to close out 2013. But how are we going to start 2014? With an amazing and easy citrus spritzer.
It’s light and refreshing, the perfect way to start the new year.
Easy Citrus Spritzer – one individual serving
1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice
Start with 1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice and one shot of vodka. Fill glass with Grapefruit Citrus Soda from Zevia and garnish with fresh citrus slices.
So easy and fresh – a great way to start your new year. Of course with any alcoholic drinks, please take extra care and precautions.
What’s your big plans for 2014? I personally have no idea for what 2014 has in store for me but if it’s anything like 2013, it will be simply amazing.
So many great things happened this year in the world of Clumsy Crafter – the least of them being insane glue guns burns – but don’t worry, I’ll be back tomorrow to share with you the greatest things that 2013 had in store for Clumsy Crafter.
I hope you all have peace and happiness in the new year. Happy New Years!
P.S. I asked Zevia to send me some sodas because their rainbow colors make me happy but apart from a few sodas, this post is not sponsored.
