Without a doubt Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite books/ movies. It’s one of those books that I stay up all night reading and one of those movies that I watch over and over again. Since it’s the lovey dovey time of year I knew that this Pride and Prejudice quote by Mr. Darcy had to be made into a free printable.
The best thing about the quote “You have bewitched me body and soul and I love, love, love you” is that Elizabeth Bennet still turned down Mr. Darcy’s proposal of marriage right after he used it to profess his love. I’m not a feminist shouting that she should have denied him. No! It’s because their story wasn’t finished. They still had awhile to go to have their eyes fully opened to the truth of the other person before they could freely love each other.
What a great story for valentine’s. You can overcome money, race, trials, class and more all for love but you have to have clear eyes to see it. sigh.
Now I need to get off my soapbox and go watch Pride and Prejudice on repeat.
You can watch it on repeat too. If you’ve never read the book before it’s free on Amazon – Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. There are parts of the book that are very different from most of the Pride and Prejudice movie versions. One of the main difference is that in the books all the characters spend more time together developing their relationships. It’s a must read in my opinion.
If you’re also a Jane Austen lover, print this Pride and Prejudice quote and frame it. Place it on your mantle for the perfect Valentine’s day decoration or you can print it onto a valentine’s day card.
As always, this is for personal use and enjoyment only. Do not use for any commercial uses.
