So Fresh and So Clean, Clean
I’m on the mend my friends.
Thanks for being patient while I got over a really bad Kidney Infection. Tuesday I went back to the doctor and got a different prescription which really seems to be helping.
I haven’t mentioned it lately but my right foot is also still in a medical walking boot (fancy cast). Monday I went to a different doctor and finally got a timeline for physical therapy and getting out of this boot! I also finally got the MRI results on my foot which showed my that Achilles Tendon has a small tear and I have damage to two other tendons. How did I do this?
I have no clue.
I live up to the Clumsy name.
(Funny story – my podiatrist subscribes to new age beliefs and is very upset that I call this blog Clumsy Crafter because he thinks it gives me bad juju. There’s no juju involved, I just know who I am.)
I hardly ever get sick or go to the doctor so the past few weeks has thrown me for a loop. Don’t worry – it’s all looking up from here.
AND – my laptop that I’ve been babying and nursing for the past few months just to make it last a little bit longer finally died. It won’t turn on and it has everything I use for this blog on it. Ugh. If I didn’t love it SO much I would kick it.
I know it seems like there’s a lot coming at me lately but honestly – as of right now….
I feel like I have a fresh start.
Last week when I was so sick I never touched a computer and I barely touched my phone.
I had a total break. Yes, I was sleeping and very sick so it wasn’t a fun break but it was a very necessary break. I blog at night once the kids go to bed and I work up until I finish everything, which is usually very late. For once I was able to relax and watch TV and then get to bed at a decent time.
It’s made me rethink and re-evaluate when I should write or how much I should try to do a night.
My foot being in a cast the past three months has showed me how much I take for granted the ability to walk. Plus I really miss nature right now since it’s too hard to walk on unpaved surfaces.
I want to do what it takes to heal my foot so I can start walking daily and reclaim my health in other ways.
My computer dying on me is hard. Not having my photo editing software and library of photos to use on this blog is tough.
But maybe I’ve been too dependent on those things, what can I do without them?
So now that I’ve had a break it’s time to get back to work.
My first priority job tomorrow? Painting my kids faces for Halloween.
Because being a wife and mom is my highest paying job. And honestly, if poop and bodily fluids ever become a currency, I’ll be a millionaire.
