Lil’ Bunny Foo Foo hopping through the forrest, plucking up the field mice and boppin’ them on the head. Ok so maybe this little Easter Bunny craft can’t hop through the forrest but it can hop right into your heart.
This craft is easy and fun. It’s so easy that even your kids can do it.
You can hide these little bunnies in easter baskets or hide them inside of large plastic eggs.
The base of these bunnies are made from wooden candle cups that you can find in the wood craft section of any hobby store or found on Amazon.com.
You will also need white, pink, and black craft paint. And for the details you’ll need extra small pink pom poms, small white pom poms and white bump pipe cleaners (The pipe cleaners that have the bushy bumps on them).
Start by painting the candle cups white. I wiped off extra paint with a napkin to give them a more rustic look.
Next use a q-tip to dot two pink cheeks on the candle cup.
Paint two eyes onto the candle cup by dipping the handle of a paint brush into black paint and making small dots just above the cheeks.
Using a glue gun, add an extra small (7mm) pink pom pom for a nose.
Using a small paint brush, make a small mouth under the nose.
At this point be careful not to touch the wet black paint on the eyes and smear it all over the place. Or do. No judgement.
Now it’s time to make the ears. I did it two different ways and I like both. The first way, on the left, I simply cut two bumps of the pipe cleaner and folded it in half to make both ears. The second way, on the right I used two bumps per ear. It’s up to you. You can also use traditional pipe cleaners but they won’t be as fuzzy and cute.
Using a glue gun, attach the ears onto the candle cup by pushing them down into the hole on the top into the glue.
Finally you’re going to add the tail, the small white pom pom onto the back of the bunny with your glue gun.
Then you’re done. A quick easter craft that is cute and lovable.
Cute from the back and the front.
