We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses.
You know those days when you think one more bad thing couldn’t possibly happen and then it happens? That was my Thursday.
I asked the kids to pick up their rooms and they hid everything under the bed. One child was grounded for their actions. I dropped the vacuum down the stairs and now it’s broken. I made homemade gluten free hot dog buns so I would have an easy dinner (I know, the irony of making the buns by hand for an easy dinner) and didn’t notice until the dough had been rising for thirty minutes that I forgot to add the egg to the recipe. The dishwasher was successfully halfway unloaded before I noticed that the dishes in the dishwasher were dirty. And on it went.
It was just one of those days.
I was worn out and if I was totally truthful I might admit that I laid on our bed and had a little pity party / cry for a few minutes.
Then while I was scrolling through Instagram I saw this quote and it fit my day perfectly. I could complain about my hard day or I could just embrace the roughness and be thankful for the blessings that were there.
We all have a choice to make. We can complain or we can rejoice.
So I decided to sit down and make this free printable for you.
Print this full page printable on card stock and hang it where you can see it, frame it or save it to your phone to use as a wallpaper. Use it however you like as long as it is for personal use and not for commercial use.
