Eight

She's 8 today. Little Miss Prim and Proper who this year has figured out the joy of burping and fart jokes is not so little anymore. I cannot believe she's 8. It seems like she should still be a tiny baby with a strawberry blonde mohawk, not a big girl riding her bike and learning how to do jumps on her scooter. Saturday we had a small family birthday party for Princess Newbie. Last year for her party, which also was only for family, I went all out. It took everything I had in me to keep my voice strong at dinner so that Damion wouldn't make fun of me. So hurry and buy stock in Kleenex because here we go... This girl is my first. The one who taught me how to be a mom. She has put up with all the parenting … [Read more...]

There is no way to describe the love that we had for her and still have for her. When she's sick, our heart breaks. When she's disobedient, our heart breaks. When she is sad, we want to cry as well. But when she's happy and full of life, we relish in it. We are so overjoyed that … [Read more...]
