What is the Best Hot Glue Gun to Use?

What is the best glue gun to buy? Which one will work best for my project?

Glue guns are necessary if you're going to be a crafter or even a mom in general. Currently I own more glue guns than kids and pets combined and they are stationed all over the house for easy reach when I need to glue something back together. So what is the best glue gun for your needs and how do you decide which one to use? Do you need a high temp glue gun or a low temp glue gun? Cordless or with a cord? Mini glue gun or a full sized glue gun? What is the best glue gun to buy?  High temperature vs. low temperature glue guns.  High temperature glue guns are extremely hot! They are … [Read more...]

Valentine’s Wreath Tutorial

Valentine's Day Wreath Tutorial

Friday I posted this wreath and then promised the tutorial for today. Since the next few episodes of "The Big Bang Theory" hasn't come in the mail via Netflix yet, I guess I will post the tutorial today. If it had come in the mail then well all know that I would be doing nothing but having a "Big Bang Theory" marathon.  I am not crazy, my mother had me tested. This is a great easy project for those of you that are scared of harder craft projects. Valentine's Day Wreath Tutorial

I love this Wreath. It was not what I started out to make. In my head I had a wreath full of nothing but chalkboard hearts. Wouldn't that have been amazing? The problem was that my head thinks in the big dollar signs and I shop in the little teeny tiny ones. (name that movie) I've also fixed the girls glitter shoes sold at target the same way when the girls wear a spot bald. First you'll need Mod Podge and glitter. I used the really fine Martha … [Read more...]

Peg Doll Home Sweet Home

gift3

This year for Christmas I decided to give my four year old niece peg dolls. It's a cute gift that's great for her age and even better to entertain her while her mama takes care of their new baby.  You can find my Peg Doll Tutorial Here. Then while I was walking through a thrift store I saw a wooden cigar box for 50 cents. Wow.  Pin balls started bouncing back and forth in my brain and before I knew it, I had the perfect Christmas gift for her. I used Mod Podge to cover the cigar label on the front of the box with a cute design and then added a handle simply using my hot glue gun. … [Read more...]
