Saturday we had a small family birthday party for Princess Newbie. Last year for her party, which also was only for family, I went all out. National Craft Month Inspiration

The last cupcake has been eaten, the balloons all withered away (just like my youth), and the music has stopped. However, we don't have to stop celebrating yet. My birthday is over but March is National Craft Month. If you ask me, an excuse to recklessly use your glue gun is better than a birthday any day. This is an old post that I wrote two years ago, so therefore this idea is four years old!! Ugh that makes me feel old. I should definitely redo them.  However, it's cute and easy to do, especially with children. These would be the perfect addition to school thanksgiving feasts. Marzipan pumpkins are so easy to make and a great decoration for fall cupcakes. It's a great way to impress your friends with minimal effort. All that it requires is marzipan, which is available on the baking aisle of your local grocery store, red and yellow food coloring and whole cloves. Marzipan is a candy dough made from almonds.
