Must Have Items From Trader Joe’s

The newest rage to reach the Houston skyline is a little crunchy store named Trader Joe's.  I went earlier this summer when one opened nearby in The Woodlands and I have been in love ever since. It is not a typical grocery store. There are only 4 aisles, hardly any name brands and some very unique items all wrapped up in great prices.  Walking into Trader Joe's for the first time can be a challenge since the items are so different. What do you buy? Today I'm going to share a few of my family's favorite must have items to give you a little hand on your first visit. First let's start … [Read more...]

Butter London Nail Polish Review

butterlondonnailpolishreview

I am a nail polish junkie. In the 90's my mom introduced me to OPI nail polish. In the 2000's I found Essie, which is my main love today. And this year I happened by Butter London while in the store Ulta. However the hefty price tag always left me unable or unwilling to buy it. So last week when it finally went on sale, I had to grab it. Of course I decided to share my thoughts with you. I usually stick to Essie nail polishes. I like the way they go on and the colors are just fabulous. However the first time I saw Butter of London I drooled when I saw the deep amazing colors. But one bottle … [Read more...]

Two Of My Favorite Things

Scent is an extremely important thing to me. Sometimes I think I must look like a dog with my nose pointed up in the air trying to figure out where that great smell is coming from. When we moved to this house in September I spent the first month outside trying to figure out what the amazing scent was that kept blowing by our house with the breeze. It only took me four months but I finally learned that it's fragrant olive bushes planted on the side of our house that are giving off that great smell. They are just decorative, no olives are produced and they don't even look like an olive tree so … [Read more...]

Crayola Window Crayons

I've eyed these Window Crayons many times at Toy's R Us but the thing that has always stopped me from buying them is honestly the price. They are almost $5 for 5 crayons.  That is $1 per crayon that I wasn't sure what they are or how long they would last. Then this week Toys R' Us was having a huge sale on Crayola crayons and markers, buy 1 get 2 free. These window crayons were included in the sale. We now have 15 window markers for $5, much better. When I opened them I was surprised to find that they are like a really soft jumbo crayon encased in plastic.  They are large and you get a … [Read more...]

2 Reviews and a Lip Ring

Princess Newbie and I went grocery shopping today. Believe it or not I have not been on a big shopping trip since before christmas so I had a ton to get tonight but little time to accomplish this feat. I was trying to think fast of future menus while still getting everything I needed at the best price possible. Sometimes I do plan menus ahead of time but then it doesn't always work in harmony with the items that are on sale that week. Usually I shop and grab all the sale staple items and then make a menu working around those items.  We do not have a pantry in this house and did not … [Read more...]
