There’s been so many fads in the craft world over the past few years but one thing always stays the same: Mod Podge. Any crafter I know has bottles of this amazing stuff laying around. Mod Podge crafts are all the rage and have been for years. Decoupage using Mod Podge was popular when I was a child and still is today. So I wanted to give you several different ideas for using Mod Podge.
I about jumped for joy when I saw these Mod Podge Doggy Tags from Creative Green Living. First it would be more afforadable than the carved tags you buy at the pet store, easier to replace lost ones and if you coat the edges with dimensional magic it should help prevent the clanging metal sound you get sometimes when dogs are scratching or crawling under the bed at night (like ours does). Creative Green Living also was featured for her Lady Bug Jar in 7 Crafts for Kids, go check it out!
I like popsicles so much that I have an entire Pinterest board devoted to them. I’m also addicted to wreaths, as many as you know. So what happens when you combine the two? You get this awesome Popsicle Door Hanger from Crafts n’ Coffee made with Mod Podge.
I don’t know if anyone else has noticed but many times lately when I’ve bought a gift, the bag to put it in has been almost as expensive as the gift itself! That’s why I love this Glitter Gift Bag made by 7 Alive All Livin in A Double Wide. It’s the perfect way to use Mod Podge and is extremely easy to make.
I love using Mod Podge to spruce up older furniture. Several Years ago I turned our high chair into a big kid seat accented with Mod Podged scrapbook paper and it’s held up beautifully. This Step Stool Transformation from Home Madeville is equally stunning and I love how much it changes it from old and dingy to a kid happy step stool.
I have a thing for maps. I love them and always have. These fun DIY Map Coasters from The Country Chic Cottage are such a simple but fun gift to make using Mod Podge. You can make them as a housewarming gift using maps of all the places the family had lived before.
I love the colors on this Confetti Tray by Vicki O’Dell. It just goes to show you that if you can’t find the decorations you need for your party theme, you can make them with mod podge and a little creativity.
I love this Instagram Art from Reasons To Skip The Housework mainly because I have so many Instagram pictures that I love and adore but I can’t decide what to do with them. This is an easy solution that will look amazing on my wall.
These wine charms are adorable! Plus if you don’t drink wine, wouldn’t they make a great charm bracelet with all the initials of your kids or loved ones? I’m going to have to make some of these Personalized Wine Charms from The V Spot soon.
It seems like you can never have too many pretty boxes to store or gift things in. These Altered Cigar Boxes from the Answer Is Chocolate would be the perfect solution for storage of small trinkets or gift giving. Can someone make me one to hide all the things I want to keep away from my kids in?
Finally I’ll share once again my own Napkin Covered Luminaries. These are great projects for kids or adults, age is not a factor. They are extremely easy and fun to make.
There you go… 10 great crafts using Mod Podge. Which one are you going to make? Leave a comment below to tell me.

Thank you, Bobbie, for including the Popsicle Door Hanger in your round up! Sharon
I love the map coaster craft! I will definitely give that a try in the future. 🙂
Mod Podge is so versatile. I mean this is a product that can be used on several different types of craft projects. The options are limitless with just how creative you can be when using Mod Podge. Take these tile coasters for instance. I recently stumbled across this cute DIY project, and immediately fell in love with it. This is a very simple project to recreate, and you can use several different types of paper designs to decorate your tiles with. Coasters are such a necessity in any home.
Mine were never water proof though : ( I have made some very cute coasters using mod podge but all eventually got water under them and smeared or started to peel. If it’s water clean up, it’s not waterproof, unfortunately. I tried to find a product to seal these but have not found one to date. I’m hoping somebody has ideas for this. : )
Hi Bobbie! Thanks so much for including my step stool!! Wish we could see the high chair you did too…I bet it was adorable!!
