Random Of The Highest Random
If I counted all the blog posts that started with the title, Random, I think I would need a calculator. My life is random, I am random but I embrace it.
There’s a blog post that I really want to write about modern christian marriage and how happiness doesn’t play a part in it. Sounds crazy, I know, and it’s out there so it kinda worries me to write it since people might not understand it. It’ll take awhile but maybe it will appear.
My kids figured out this week that my parents are divorced. There have been a ton of crazy questions about why doesn’t grammy and grandpa live together? And if they don’t live together, who does live with grandpa? (only a dog named Mercedes because it’s the closest he’ll get to his dream car) Why did they get divorced is one question that I just didn’t know how to answer because I’ve never even asked my parents that question. I don’t really need to know. Then the questions started if we were going to get divorced and if we did, what houses would we live in? It’s deep questions for a 6 and 5 year old but I’m glad that we get to answer them with love and assure them that we’re together until death do we part. One of us might be in jail, but it will be until death do we part.
The older two girls made their 2 year old sister a nice big sippy cup full of coffee this morning. The two year old, Princess Newbie, toddled in my room, stuck it out towards me and said, “wook mom, its ma coffee!”. Then we had a nice long talk all together about why they are not allowed to make her coffee. Twenty minutes later we had that talk again when I caught them brewing another batch.
I also threw away some toys today that they weren’t really trying to pick up. The toys have been exploding even more lately than normal and they needed a little wake up call. Really they think that I trashed a lot but I’m a smart mom that was really picking up all the little broken pieces and McDonald’s happy meal toys that I’ve been trying to get rid of for awhile and throwing them away. The most expensive thing that was tossed was a Barbie dress that they had dyed black using sharpie and water. We don’t do goth Barbies.
Tomorrow I have to clean all the floors, clean out the fireplace, scrub toilets and work on baby shower decorations for a friend. Hopefully I won’t have to share my coffee.

I absolutely LOVE the second picture of the girls. The looks on their faces are classic. This made me laugh so hard. HA. Awesomesauce.
