Believe it or not, Clumsy Crafter has been around for over ten years. The earliest posts have horrible photos and some of the best memories of my kids, such as the time that my youngest turned herself into a smurf with the blue food coloring or that time that someone filled up the dishwasher with dish soap. In the past few years as my kids get older (and more sarcastic) I’ve been focusing more on crafts and tutorials.
So what’s a few of my favorites? Here’s 5 of them in no particular order.
Hoop Wreaths
I love wreaths. Any type of wreath gets my heart pounding but hoop wreaths have my fancy lately because they are so simple. Yet, the beauty of the hoop wreath is found in the little details and colors that stand out, not having to compete for attention.
Here’s a few of the posts that I’ve shared about how to make a hoop wreath:
Floating Glitter Necklaces
I loved making these and I still wear them to this day. If you love glitter and shiny things, this is the project for you.
It is a beginner resin level project so if you’ve never worked with resin, don’t worry! You can do this!

Pencil Mason Jar
Here’s my deepest secret: I love pencils. OK so maybe that’s not really a juicy secret but it’s the truth. My life is wild.
I love how this painted mason jar craft turned out. It’s cute and adorable sitting on my desk and as back-to-school approaches, this would be a great gift for a teacher.

How to Make Wire Wrapped Bracelets
Once again, we’re back to shiny things. I married the right man because I pretty much am a human bird. If it’s shiny, I’ll take it. I love glitter and beads.
These bracelets are fun to make. If you can wrap an extension cord, you can make these. If you can’t wrap an extension cord, well…. there’s still hope for you.
These are one of my top all-time things that I’ve stood back and thought, “Wow! I made that.”

Marbled Paper with Shaving Cream
Picking this last craft for my list was stressful. Trust me, I was torn between this craft and potato prints. I know! I know! I’m obsessed with potato prints. But I’m equally obsessed with marbling paper with shaving cream. I use it all the time. It’s an easy way to make thank you cards or note cards or you can use them to write down your shopping list just to bring yourself some joy.
It’s easy and fun and I LOVE IT.

There’s 5 of my favorite crafts from Clumsy Crafter. There’s more, trust me… but Mr. Byrd is waiting on me to leave.
