I highly recommend using double sided scrapbook paper.
You also do not need a lot of paper since the facets are so small.
I chose a pad of scrapbook paper that had designs instead of plain patterns and it worked out great. Place the facet you choose to use over the design that you want on your necklace.
Now simply tace around the design.
When you cut it out, cut a little extra off to account for the pencil not being able to trace under the actual facet but stay true to the shape. I think I cut less than 1/16th extra off. The easiest way is to cut a tiny bit at a time and hold it up to make sure you’re getting the right shape. It doesn’t have to be perfect but you don’t want paper hanging off over the edge. Just keep trimming.
When you have the paper cut to the correct size, apply a very thin layer of Mod Podge to the back of the facet. If you get it to thick it won’t dry or it will bubble up.
Give it a few seconds to set while you clean up your work surface. Now take a pin or a needle and push it through the back of the facet and through the hole that is already in the actual facet so that you will have an area to put your jump ring. Do not push it front to back or your paper will get pushed off the facet.
Now do one more thin coat of mod podge across the back of the pendant and let it dry for a minute before adding the jump ring to your pendant.
And there you go! A 5 Minute Scrapbook Paper Necklace Pendant.
These would make great gifts for bridesmaids, teachers, or even your own children! They are quick, easy, and made by you!
