Bad Blogger at the Pool
Ok so I’m a bad blogger. But com’on… honestly.. we already knew that. This is not a huge discovery.
I know that posting on this blog this week has been light but sometimes it’s easy to forget that a blogger is often a mother or family member that has a life that needs them to participate in it.
Plus the weather was perfect to spend at the pool.
Even with a blog calendar where you schedule out every post in advance can sometimes fail you because you’ll still be too swamped with parental responsibility that you don’t be able to sit down do the finished touches on those posts.
And the pool was so amazing, the perfect temperature and right mix of sunshine/ clouds.
A blogger has responsibilities outside their blog and it’s very hard to find balance at times.
I think my summer tan has now reached the perfect level of brown without being overly baked.
Sometimes when you need to be sitting down to write a blog post or take pictures for said post, there’s laundry to fold and bathrooms to clean that need to be done and the time just slips away.
You can’t see the laundry pile or dirty bathrooms from the pool.
So I’m a bad blogger, I admit it. Stick with me and next week I’ll be back with crafty posts.
Plus the best news of all is that this week Princess Newbie has finally started swimming by herself. After swim lessons and her coaches recommendation that we spend as much time at the pool as possible (see I was just following the coach’s orders) she took off swimming this week and hasn’t stopped yet.
Some of you might remember that she almost drowned as a toddler so to see her swimming is a huge burden lifted from our shoulders. We know that right now is when she’s actually in the most danger of drowning since she’s overly confident in her skills but we see the light at the end of the water safety tunnel and it is beautiful to see.
By the way – I just noticed that this is my second post in a row admitting to be a horrible blogger who isn’t writing blog posts this week. Geez. I’m a slacker.
But sometimes we all need a break and vacation and need to be able to spend time with our families.
Don’t worry, I’ll be back this coming week with more great ideas, tips and crafts for you and your family.
Until then feel free to browse my Pinterest Boards for inspiration or if you’re a Duck Dynasty lover, like I am, sign up for their Duck Nation to win great prizes like Si’s tea cup.

What a wonderful week-end so far with my daughter and wonderful grandsons. Rushed home from work for dinner and spent the rest of the night watching the oddest shows ever. Gold mining in Alaska and everything else the History Channel had to offer. Woke up this morning and was introduced to Duck Dynasty. WOW I never laughed so much. Those people are crazy.much more so than swamp people. I think we need to start watching more educational television but it sure was funny for a while. Keaton and I are hanging out together while Chrissy & Trent are going after the BIG BUCK they caught on the deer camera. Oh southern life how sweet… Hope everyone has a wonderful night and a great day tomorrow. Hope to see my new friends in church.
