Hey Clumsy Crafter readers! Its Kelley from the the Grant life again. I’m back again to share a super fun craft for your kiddos. My daughter and I make this DIY slime the other day and its just so cool! I might have nudged her over to play with it myself. Fortunately, there was enough for both of us and it was easy to make. Today I’m going to show you how to make your own slime to enjoy.
The cool thing about the slime is that you only need 3 ingredients or supplies to make it. And I bet you have a few of them at home already. To make your own you will need:
- 1 bottle of glue (glitter is more fun!)
- 1 tablespoon of water
- 1 teaspoon of Borax (found in the laundry aisle)
- 1 cup of water
In a small bowl, mix the 1 cup of water and the borax together. In a larger bowl dump the glue and the tablespoon of water. Take the borax mixture and add it to the glue. This is the fun part! Mix the whole thing together with your hands. The borax will help stiffen the glue and make it more pliable. The slime should take form in about a minute.
The best part about this slime is that it entertained my kids for quite awhile. I gave them some cookie cutters and kid friendly scissors too. They had a blast! After a bit of playing it does get a little stiff. We dipped it back in the borax water, gave it a little stir and it was good to go!
Thanks for letting me stop by Bobbie’s place and show you this easy activity to do with your kiddos. If you have a few minutes, Id love for you to stop by my site and check out my recipes. I like to share easy recipes like this chipotle quinoa skillet and I am a huge coffee lover, so I have fun recipes like this iced caramel macchiato. (Its a Starbucks copycat recipe!) Hope yall will say hi!
