Oh friends I’m exhausted. Swim team started back this week (for the kids, I’m not hurting the eyes of the innocents with my bathing suit presence). It’s always a crazy time when swim team starts. On Tuesdays we go straight from gymnastics to swim team followed by a crazy rush to clean the house and late dinner. On Wednesdays we start with a crazy rush to clean the house followed by swim team practice, literally throwing dinner into the kid’s mouths and then a mad rush to church.
To top it off we still have regular chores, errands and school work today. Did I mention that all of Monday was spent celebrating a child’s birthday?
Did I also mention that if our youngest makes the swim team, she’s in the process of trying out right now, then we will spend 2 hours and 45 minutes at the pool Monday – Friday for the next 6 weeks?
Mom Life. Or as my husband comes to know it as, “My wife smells because she’s spent all day basking in the hot Texas sun”.
Here’s the good news though – You can have a fun time doing water play without getting wet. It’s true. And you won’t bask in the warm sun because the water inside the plastic blob is so nice and cool.
This is an older idea but it’s one that’s stood the test of time.
We’re already planning another one soon. Then I’m planning a few hours when I’m going to kick the kids off the Water Blob and just lay on the cool water and read.
