Heart Shaped Glasses

The other day I was itching to make something… anything at all. However the girls were sitting at the table working on workbooks which meant that I couldn’t go upstairs to dig through the craft room for supplies.  That left me having to use whatever supplies I could easily find and grab in close proximity to our kitchen.  I had tons of paint but no paint brushes or anything to paint. There was also burlap but my mind was drawing a blank on something I  could easily make with it. 

That’s when I remembered that there are a ton of children in this house that do not understand the concept of throwing away empty toilet paper rolls. Add the washi tape I keep in the upper kitchen cabinet and sparkly pipe cleaners and we could make heart glasses for kids.  That was my plan.  However I quickly discovered that the glasses were only going to be able to made by older children but  resulted in tiny glasses.  At first I wrote it off as a craft fail.  Yes, we made them but no they wouldn’t fit the kids that were able to make them. But…. we have pets…. with tiny faces….. Do you see where this is going? It started with this….

Someone is not amused…..

Then someone else was ready for their closeup……

Later he enjoyed these glasses as a snack. If you look close you can see him plotting the revenge in his cute little head. 

Thanks for the glasses. Now I can see you better. Do you have any veggies for me? Do you have any veggies for me? Do you have any veggies for me? 

Ah…. That’s better. 

And then the cuteness went into overdrive.

And even though I later found the glasses on our bedroom floor ripped to shreds, the cuteness remains.    Having a bad Monday?  Wait…. I think I know someone that might be having a worse day…..

Yeah it’s the same picture but it just cracks me up!
