Super glue. It’s the glue that we can’t live without yet we can never use without somehow getting stuck. The worst thing is when you get super glue on your hands or maybe even your fingers stuck together. Don’t worry, today I’m going to share how I get super glue off skin.
This process is much easier than you think. Getting super glue off skin isn’t rocket science but when your hands are literally stuck together, the panic of the moment can keep you from thinking clearly. It’s easy to freak out and panic when you’re stuck to something or super glue is stuck to you.
In fact, if you want a good laugh about super glue check out one of my favorite videos about a brother who put super glue into his brother’s hair gel.
Now that you’ve had a good laugh and are no longer freaking out, lets get that glue off of you!
If You Need to Get Super Glue Off Your Skin:
All you’ll need is acetone nail polish remover and maybe some butter. (If you just need to remove a little super glue residue from your skin, skip down to the bottom to learn how to do that with butter.)
Nail polish remover? Yes. It’s that simple. However please remember that this is still a harsh chemical. You do not want to put it anywhere near sensitive skin, eyes, nose, mouth, etc. If you’re in doubt, call a doctor because I am not one.
Place enough nail polish remover in a small glass dish to cover the area of skin you want to remove super glue from. You don’t need to use a ton, use a little and add more if needed.
Dip your super glued together skin into the alcohol remover. Wait a few seconds and then gently try to pull your fingers, or other skin apart. If it hurts, stop! Be gentle and patient. If your skin is stuck to an item, do the same thing. Gently try to pull the skin off of the item while it’s still submerged in the nail polish remover.
If you are trying to remove a large object, dip cotton balls in the nail polish remover and place them around the stuck areas. Gently try to remove the stuck items while keeping the cotton balls wet with polish remover and pushed up against the stuck objects and skin.
Depending on how strong the acetone is and how much surface area is stuck with super glue, this can take as little as 30 seconds up to a minute. If this trick does not work or you don’t have nail polish remover, you can try WD40 to remove it.
Once you are unstuck from super glue you might find that there’s a dried white rough residue on your skin.
How can you get dried super glue residue off of your skin?
You need butter.
Simply rub butter on your skin where the dry super glue is and it will come off easily.
Good luck! It’s a sticky job but somebody has to do it!
How do you remove it from your counter tops?
try WD40 to remove it.
