1. You’ll get practice and get used to the blogging platform that you want to use
2. You will be creating your archives. Archives are blog posts that you have written in the past that people can access when they visit your blog. You really want to give people as much information to read as soon as you can. So go ahead and write it. Then post date it and file it away for a visitor to read one day.
7. And you’re ready! Yes there’s a ton more information about blogging but a large part of being a new blogger is figuring it out, step by step. Next week I’ll post a few tips for new bloggers that will help you go further with starting a blog. But these are all steps that you can take and start working on right now. There’s no time like the present so if you want to start a blog, do it today. Once you have a blog it’s time to Grow your Blog. So glad that I found you! Great info on starting a blog. Very straight forward and easy to understand. If you start with google, I am assuming that you can switch to wordpress later on? But how hard is it to transfer your info?
Also love your post for Valentine’s Day! Will be printing off and making it into a bookmark. I still read the “old fashion” way.
Have an awesome weekend!

Thanks! If you switch later it either takes a lot of time to learn how to do it yourself or you pay someone about $200 to do it for you. If you really want to be serious about blogging, I would just go with wordpress from the beginning.

Thank You.
I have so much to say, and have no idea how to write it. Which is funny because I am an awesome writer most of the time – about others. My life is comical, dramatic and carnivalesque to say the least! A book has been in my mind for a long time, I never thought about a blog!
This has totally changed my outlook and ideas to get my head into written words!

What does blogging do? My son suggested this and I am clueless.

Blogging is a way to convey a story or information that you want to share with others. It can be a great outlet or with time it can be a way to earn money. It really depends what you want to do with it.

I’m considering starting a blog, to help my etsy store actually get up and running. I want to launch them both at the same time. So my question is, do you know if its possible to start with a free Word Press account and then progress to the paid one later? I just want to make sure that WordPress is for me and kinda get used to the editing.
Please let me know what you think?
