There are a lot of cool things in the works here at Clumsy Crafter. I’m still working on a post about how I’ve been juicing lately. The picture above is from when I juiced carrots, apples and grapes the other day. The colors are either really pretty or really gross looking when you juice, there’s not really middle ground.
My friend Robyn has wrote an awesome guest post that will be appearing in the next few days here on the blog and I’m working on a great craft project that will appear on another friend’s blog, The Better Half Blogs. I have a few other posts/ craft ideas in mind too but life is kicking me in the butt right now. Ok so it’s not really life kicking me in the butt, it’s one of my kids that has reached the question stage of young childhood. She starts every single question with the word, “Momma?”. I wanted to scream a few times today when I heard that word, just being honest. It was so bad that I was about to google, “how to make your own ear plugs”. Either that or stuff a few deer sausages in my ears as far as I could get them. I’m pretty sure you can make your own earplugs with that spray in insulation foam, right?
The problem with that plan is that this particular child does not give up. I have seriously hidden from her and she just wanders around the entire house saying, “momma? momma? momma? momma? momma? momma?” until she finds me. Sometimes Damion enforces a “do not talk to the driver (me)” rule when we are in the car and driving in difficult or dark situations. Today I tried to enforce it but it lasted 30 seconds before there was a question on the tip of her tongue and she just. couldn’t. help. it. Then her question was, “momma? Can I get a pet bird for my son’s birfday?”. Um, let’s see. We have a certifiable zoo already and oh yea, you’re five so you don’t have a son. I didn’t answer her with that because she really honestly thinks that her stuffed animals and Lalaloopsy dolls are her kids. She has a “birfday” party every single day for one of them.
We also have started potty training with the youngest Byrd. Somewhere in the past three years I have forgotten how exhausting that is. Taking a child to the potty every 15 minutes and then doing every single Broadway routine that you can think of to keep them there is a lot of work. Plus our new patio furniture was baptized twice in the past two days. Just a heads up, carpet cleaner stock might go up this week. Buy, buy, buy!
I would also like to announce that this weekend, I was blessed with a new nephew. My sister and her husbad, Scott, haven’t given me any details yet including the name but I’m going to assume that’s just because it’s so hard taking care of a new baby. Here is the first picture of the new baby….
Apparently he’s really good at fishing already. Some people have fur babies, my sister and her husband have fiberglass babies. Whatever works and keeps the baby making pressure off of me….. Congrats guys?
