Life Lately…..

We got our cat and our dog around the same time. A few months ago dead lizards started appearing on our doorstep. Dead garden snakes appeared on the doorstep next and we contributed it to the cat. Then the first dead mouse appeared (we live in a heavily wooded area) and we still blamed the cat. Today I came seconds away from stepping on a dead mouse. Which would have been horrible. But the worst part is that the cute little puppy that I cuddle with and love on swooped in to save the dead mouse, his precious catch, from my big ole’ foot.

Then he denied it for awhile before lovingly giving it one last lick (shudder) as we bagged it up to throw it away.

We are also letting Princess Newbie’s bangs grow out.

This is the view I see every single time I look at her lately. Unless I pull her bang back into two seperate ponytail holders, she pulls the clips out and just moonlights as Cousin It.

Cousin It also likes to help with household chores right now, which is amazing! But it’s so amazing that I’m finding myself hiding lately as she insists on stirring everything in the kitchen including the jar of pickles, refolding every item of clothing for me and then dumping them in my closet in order to put them away, and asking to bathe the fish.

Other than that, life is going on as usual. Kids fighting, kids crying, kids running, kids slamming doors and colored washi tape all over the place.
