Coffee is wonderful. It perks you up, warms you up and just begs you to sit by the fire for awhile. Trader Joe’s is just as wonderful. In fact did you know that you can find amazing items made with coffee at Trader Joe’s? You’re not really surprised are you? Where else can you also find bacon popcorn or the world’s best frozen Mac n’ Cheese?
Mix the two things together and worlds of happiness explode.
(OK – I’ve had a lot of coffee today.)
But regardless of how shaky my hands are from this coffee high, there are so many great items at Trader Joe’s for coffee lovers. What one of these items do you plan on buying the next time you go?
Coffee – Whole Bean or Ground
For a store as small as Trader Joe’s, it has a huge coffee selection. You can find all kinds of exotic coffee ranging from Bourbon Barrel coffee to coffee from Zimbabwe. If you just want simple there’s Fair Trade French Roast or Organic Fair Trade Breakfast Blend.
Any coffee lover needs to spend time pouring (see what I did there) over their extensive coffee offerings. If you don’t have a coffee grinder, there’s one in the store for you to use if you choose a flavor that only comes in whole beans.
Cold Brew Coffee
If you’re more a cold brew person, Trader Joe’s has my favorite cold brew concentrate. It comes unsweetened but I pour one serving out of the bottle and then add sugar and shake well. By the time I’m ready for my next glass, the sugar has melted into the mix and is ready to go. This would be a perfect teacher’s gift to give them the energy to keep going.
Cold Brew Coffee Chocolate Bar
Oh yes. They took cold brew and made it into chocolate. Dreams really do come true. Plus inside the chocolate is a bit of gooey caramel and cold brew mixed together. This is an instant pick me up treat that you deserve. Scratch what I said about giving teachers a jar of cold brew coffee from Trader Joe’s, just give them each one of these and a pair of earplugs.
Coffee Syrup
Yes! It’s coffee in syrup form. This is one of the newer items at Trader Joe’s and I don’t know how long it will stay around so you might want to stock up now. I walked by a lady showing it to her husband in the store and he said “how will you use that?” and she replied, “I might pour it over ice cream or maybe even just add it to my coffee for more coffee”. I wanted to fist bump her.
This would be perfect mixed into baked goods or added to the frosting on cinnamon rolls. Pour it over ice cream, add it to milk shakes, do something absurd with it. True coffee lovers will appreciate it no matter what.
Dark Chocolate Coffee Squares
These dark chocolate coffee squares are yummy but they’re also great to give you a little boost during that afternoon slump. They’re a great gift to give to coffee lovers or anyone with a demanding job – such as a mom.
Dark Chocolate Covered Espresso Beans
I ate so many of these that I had to give them away to someone else because I was getting shaky from the caffeine. They have the perfect amount of crunch mixed with the rich dark chocolate taste that will make you want to scream and then dive right into them. Be warned – these are dangerous.
Brownie Crisp Coffee Ice Cream Sandwiches
Sometimes you just want cold coffee and a brownie. What if I told you that you could mix them together? These are smaller than you will probably expect but they’re a good amount of sweet without being so sugary that you schedule a dentist appointment.
Cold Brew Latte Dessert Bars
My life revolves around grande lattes with two raw sugars when it’s cold and sweetened cold brew when it’s hot. That’s why I am going to stock pile these Cold Brew Latte Dessert Bars to get me through the Texas heat this summer. It has a very light taste that’s not overly sweet.
Instant Coffee Packets
Finally let’s talk about the Instant Coffee Packets. Now I know that any true coffee lover might turn their nose up at instant coffee (unless it’s mixed into chocolate cake batter) but we also know that coffee lovers get headaches if they don’t have their morning coffee. These are great for the days that you’re running late to work or you’re traveling and can’t find a coffee shop. Keep some of these on hand for emergencies because you can actually read and identify the ingredients in them! Mix with hot water and say goodbye to the caffeine withdrawal headaches.
There you go.
All the items you need to buy when you go to Trader Joe’s if you’re a coffee lover. You might also want to look out for seasonal items such as the cheese with coffee mixed into it that they had for awhile. Keep your eyes open and don’t be afraid to try the crazier items at Trader Joe’s because you might find something that you truly love.
If you need me, I’ll just be drinking straight from the Cold Brew Coffee bottle.
Enjoy your coffee!
See my older list of Must Have Items from Trader Joe’s here. Some of the items are no longer available but some are still my favorite – must buy items!
My first instinct is to grab my keys and rush out the door – despite the fact that I’m still in my pajamas……that’s okay, right?
Yes! Go, go, go!
