Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree, how crazy are your owners. Somehow with the tree leaning to the right and strings of lights out, it fits in this house. Tonight we put up the tree and pulled out all the ornaments.
There was the ornament from our first Christmas together.
Princess Newbie’s first christmas ornament.
Princess Goofy’s frist ornament from 2006.
Princess Girly Girl’s first ornament from 2005 and the white bear that I have on the tree every year. The first year after my parents divorced when I was 10, we couldn’t afford christmas. My mom didn’t want the old ornaments that reminded her of my dad so she made ornaments using the white bears she had from a craft project and ribbon. ย That was all our tree was decorated with that year and it was wonderful. So now each year I put one of those original bears on our tree.
There’s the handprint ornament that when I was trying to hold it up to get a picture, a dirty little spaghetti hand just had to try it out for size. I love this picture, so sweet.
Our tree is just a hodpodge of memories and ornaments that represent us. If you look hard you’ll see Star Wars ornaments, polish pottery christmas trees, ballerinas, a rooster and even a gnome. We specialize in crazy around here and our tree is just a sparkly reminder that we are who we are and it’s simply amazing.

So beautiful! I can’t wait to put my tree up! ๐

Those are the kind of trees I love. While those “theme” trees that people do are gorgeous in all of their magnificence and I long to have one of them, I always resort back to my tried and true, speckled with ornaments that are unique to us. They belong to a home. I can’t wait to add and replace with special ones from Cash. ๐
