Howdy. I'm Bobbie. Some of you know that but some of you didn't know so now you know. I thought since it's a new year, we'd take a minute and play a little game called, "getting to know you". Really this is just a time to play catchup to help you be able to find my posts when there's something new or simply find out what my family is up to each day. Sometimes my family does really interesting things, somedays we might help lull you to sleep because it's the same ol' "clean your room!" 5,000 days in a row. But first, let's take a second to give you a little … [Read more...]

My Favorite Free Printables
I like free printables. They're simple. All you have to do is print and then you have so many cute signs that you can either pop in a frame or use in various craft projects. So out of all the printables here on Clumsy Crafter, which ones are my personal favorites? 1. Wicked Chickens Make Deviled Eggs. Maybe it's my love of deviled eggs that makes this printable sign one of my all time favorites but I can't help but giggle a little when I see it. 2. Live In The Sunshine - This printable just makes me happy. I love the saying, the colors and … [Read more...]
Perfectly Imperfect.
Not again. That's the thought that sent me into a funk for the past few days. You see 2014 was a pretty rough year. Right after Christmas last year we lost Mr. Byrd's grandmother. An exact month later we lost his uncle. Immediately after that I had business issues that were so stressful that the hair dye companies are now publicly thanking me for upping their revenue and yet the gray hair still remains. Right after I finally got things settled Mr. Byrd got sent out on town for business on what was supposed to be a week or two max. 4 months later he finally … [Read more...]

The Power of the Blog
The blog has power, yes it does. A few weeks ago I was talking with Lisa from Mama Says after a Houston Bloggers meeting. She homeschools a lot of kids and so I knew she would have an answer for me. Honestly Princess Girly Girl has been doing great with her homeschooling kindergarten lessons but reading was getting to her. We were using a curriculum that she did not like and the fits everyday when it came time to do reading were just escalating more and more to the point of them being out of control. So I asked Lisa what I should do and she suggested something called the BOB books and to … [Read more...]

Snow Happy
I've been cleaning and decluttering the house the past two days and it has worn me out! Yesterday I took down christmas decorations and cleaned every nook and cranny that I could find. Today we cleaned the garage and His Royal Highness built me more shelves to store my craft supplies. Or as he often calls it, crap supplies. Constantly I'm forced to remind him that my craft issues save him money since I make things rather than buy them. Throughout all this cleaning and decluttering, the house has stayed a mess. Isn't that how it always seems to happen? I am finding little knick knacks here and … [Read more...]
Too Old for Snapchat, Too Young for Life Alert – Free Cut File
You know you've reached middle age when you hand your child your phone and ask them to fix it for you. Am I right? Or when someone around you is talking about their high school graduation and you need more than your fingers and toes to count how long ago you graduated. It's OK to laugh about getting older, that's why I made this free cut file for you - Too Old for Snapchat, Too Young for Life Alert. It makes it funnier when I tell you that every child in my house asked what Life Alert is. We should all laugh every day. The best news is that when you wear this shirt not only will you … [Read more...]
