Right now it’s just a time when I know that there is so much that I have to do in the next few weeks. Christmas is coming up fast, the new house still isn’t put together and I need to do some major maintenance on this blog. I know that some of the pages are showing up funky at times but I need a huge block of time to just sit down and work on it. On top of all that this week we made the decision to let a friend live with us for a few months while their family transitions to Houston. It’s a great thing and we’re really excited for them but she will be staying in our blank, beyond basic, box filled guest room and I just don’t want to do that to her for 6 months. So now I feel the need to decorate that too before she arrives. I’m excited but just more to add to the list.
It’s so easy to be overcome with simple things but there’s one thing that has always kept me sane in these crazy days and that’s my friends. You expected me to say God right? Well that is true because my friends are the ones that keep me on that heavenly path. They are the ones that encourage me and make me laugh on the days that the looney bin seems appealing. I’m blessed to have friends that keep me lifted up in prayer and let me know that what I’m working for is not in vain. God gave us community as a powerful tool in our walk.
I’ve spoke of her before but one of my best friends and the one who encourages me the most is named Courtney. Her family moved to California earlier this year because they believe (as do I) that Christ called them there. She has an amazing voice that I love to hear.
Late last night as I sat on my couch and tried to figure out what on earth I was going to do to fix my blog, making plans to have a ton of family over for christmas, and figuring out how to get 4 rooms painted before christmas, I saw on facebook that Courtney and her husband Adam had just released a music video to go along with their CD that they released this year. It’s peaceful, beautiful and amazing.
In the constant swirl of life right now it’s great just to sit back and listen, praising the One who has my timeline in His hands.
Today here’s my gift to you. (since it’s free and I’m cheap) Sit back, put your feet up, and just rest in peace while you listen to this beautiful song, You Are The One, sung by Adam and Courtney Rivera.
If you love their music as much as I do you can go buy their CD and give them a wonderful Christmas blessing.
