Sawyer Ford Driving By

A few weeks ago I gave away some pillow covers on the handmade giveaway from Sawyer Ford Home. They were cute and perfect. In passing the Etsy shop owner, Tracy, mentioned that she was starting a craft blog named Sawyer Ford Driving By.  Let’s just say that I remember the first few weeks of Clumsy Crafter and it was rough. I believe there was a post of funny things animals say (that has since been deleted on purpose) and just a mix of things that didn’t make sense. My pictures were horrible, my writing was worse and my first attempt at a tutorial was laughable.  So when I popped over to Tracy’s new blog, I was ready to see a new blog that maybe just doesn’t have it all together yet because it’s a learning experience.  Wow. I was wrong.  The first post I found was a tutorial for  how to make leather bows.  That’s so cute I would wear it with pride while my husband ducks and hides. Honestly, I do see this as a project soon that my girls will love to help with. Plus it’s a great change from ribbon and use leather instead to make a hair bow.  Then there was a post on how to make zippered pouches and the details were stunning.   I would never have thought to scallop the edge with a bright zipper. I need one of these. I need both actually.  and then…. There’s a mason jar. I love mason jars as you can tell from the DIY travel Mason Jar Cup.  I might actually do this project soon using a variety of mason jar sizes to put on the bathroom counters for storage.  Or you could paint them in beachy colors and use them on your summer mantle. I need to go buy more mason jars now.  So that’s my three favorite things but there’s more! You might like some of it too.
