Who doesn’t want more s’mores? With a simple recipe for homemade marshmallows, graham crackers and melted chocolate you can make a s’more recipe that will make your momma scream with delight and your boss love you forever.
Yes, these are a little different than normal s’mores. They aren’t a sandwhich, they are just a marshmallow with a little extra love. That’s why they’re perfect- they’re everything you need and then some.
These s’more marshmallows also make amazing edible gifts. A few years ago I made these for Mr. Byrd’s co-workers and they went crazy for them. I can’t blame the people. I only make them during Christmas time and I go ga-ga for them every single time.
These are easy to make. They’re so easy that your stomach will make more.
To make these you need to start by making the recipe for homemade marshmallows. Let the marshmallows set up.
While your marshmallows are setting up, crush graham crackers in a ziplock baggie for food processor. (You might want to try this homemade graham cracker recipe.)
Once your marshmallows are done they will be very sticky. The marshmallows are usually rolled in powdered sugar at this point to keep them from sticking every single thing. However this is where we’re going to switch it up.
Roll the sticky marshmallow sides in the crushed graham crackers.
I have tried using the store bought crushed graham crackers before and they were crushed too fine to really bring out the taste in the s’mores.
Once you have this ready, melt semi-sweet chocolate chips in the microwave or over a double broiler.
There’s several different ways to add the chocolate to the graham cracker marshmallows. You can dip them in and then set them on a cooling rack for the coffee to harden. If you want them to look fancy than you can use a fork to drizzle chocolate over the top or you can use a spoon and gently place the chocolate on top.
Once they’re all done set them to the side for the chocolate to harden.
Try not to lick your fingers or the marshmallows.
Once the chocolate is hardened, the s’mores marshmallows are ready to go.
ok so they might not go too far, just a short trip from the plate to my mouth.
Yum. Try making these today. They’re the perfect gift to give to friends.
