Summery Sunflower Wreath
My front door has been naked for awhile now. The backdoor has a blue and green plaid wreath that I never took a picture of but the front door needed help.
Last week as I was trolling through Hobby Lobby I noticed a 90% off sign. 90% off! The last time I found a 90% rack at Hobby Lobby was way back in 2008 when I made these Christmas Balls using silk fall mums that were 90% off. I rarely see it at Hobby Lobby but when I do, I’m there. It turns out that they had these adorable printed sunflowers on sale for 80 cents each, originally almost 9$ each!
I think they’re pretty but I really didn’t have that much that I could use them for because of the bright colors and I’m more of a muted girl. Mr. Byrd even makes fun of my neutral picks every now and then (everyday).
Finally I got the brilliant idea to use them in a wreath.
Three sunflowers, a plain grapevine wreath, and a yard of burlap ribbon (yes it comes in ribbon now!!) and I had this simple yet summery wreath for the front door for under $10.
I love it and Mr. Byrd even commented that he liked it, which is nothing short of amazing.
So when life hands you the clearance section, make wreaths.
