The End of 2015 in Pictures
It’s over. 2015 is gone which is kinda sad. For us, it was a great year.
Well… in some ways it was rough since my husband was laid off the majority of the year due to oil and gas prices BUT it other ways we saw our kids grow by leaps and bounds and rediscovered what it means to spend a lot of time together without killing each other.
Without a doubt we lived off of tacos this year. They’re affordable and when you have a taco chef that’s this cute;
You let her cook you tacos, even if she can barely reach the stove.
The end of 2015 is also when the children’s library wasn’t enough for our oldest anymore. All of the sudden she wanted to go upstairs to the adult section (gulp). Mama’s of young ones, you won’t believe how fast it goes.
We fought the ugly weather to find beauty.
These goobers made it all fun.
We followed REI’s example and got outside for Black Friday. Just kidding, we went shopping at Cabela’s.
This girl. I call her Monkey but I’m thinking of changing that to Koala Bear.
We made traditional Christmas cookies. And by traditional I mean pink bunny costume cookies. Don’t worry, no one shot their eye out.
My daughter’s pet rats chewed a hole in their cage. We found them in our bed at 6am. Now that’s a wake up call that very few would want.
I made custom christmas yard decorations. Custom is just another way to say geeky awesome.
He looks startled to see me without makeup.
You want men to drive past your house slowly and roll down their windows? Put a few of these guys in your yard.
We continued our quest to find new spots in Houston to explore. Exploration level mastered with this one.
There was rejoicing.
And shortly thereafter there was hidden tears as I realized that one of these girls was wearing women’s shoes and one is in her last year of children’s ministry before moving up to (gulp) youth group. Where did my babies go?
I finally finished the large wall hanging for behind my couch that only took 6 months. One old linen roller shade, some paint and cheap boards put this project coming in at around $6 to make.
Grandparent love.
And of course you can’t end 2015 without Pie Face.
How can you top that? You can’t. So let’s move onto 2016.
