This weekend was crazy busy. It was so busy that I forgot to prank Mr. Byrd for April Fool’s Day. Every day around here is virtually April Fool’s Day so I think I’ll get him…. one day….. maybe not today… maybe not tomorrow…. but one day. Sleep with one eye open Mr. Byrd. Consider yourself warned.
The new puppy, Cooper, is slowly becoming the star of our family. He has a hint of mischief, loves to cuddle, eats all the cat’s food, and is the perfect size for Princess Newbie to carry him around. The funniest thing is that he chases the cat. At pushing only 6bls he chases our much larger cat and she runs! We have a basset hound/ daschund mix named Snoopy that is huge and the cat chases him. Yet the tiny little dog terrorizes that cat non stop. Sunday I made them hug. The cat growled and the puppy loved it.
He has also figured out how to get out of the backyard. While we were doing yard work saturday morning we kept finding him out in the driveway and couldn’t figure out how he was doing it. Now we have old boards and wooden lattice pieces of varied colors and sizes stacked up against our iron fence that seperates our house and garage. It’s classy, real classy.
Sunday when I dropped my bra into the dirty clothes pile the puppy, Cooper, grabbed it and went tearing through the house with it. I am so glad that we didn’t happen to have guests at the time. I know we’re classier than hillybilly hand fishing but that might have been pushing the boundaries. Would you like some cheese, a drink, or a bra?
We tried to get more serious with potty training Princess Newbie. It didn’t go that well unless you consider a mid day bath from “brown body paint” to be success. I also spent way too many hours this weekend reading a child’s book that made me blush about our body’s toilet functions.
I hope you all have an amazing Holy week. It’s never too late to run back to Christ. I have to do it daily. Sometimes more than that now that our friend has got me stuck on watching Swamp People.
Coming up this week on Clumsy Crafter; Great Easter ideas, my love of juicing and preparing for a Lalaloopsy birthday party. Hopefully there won’t be anymore stories about “brown body paint”.
