Sometimes there’s a lapse in the crafts on this site and it might appear that I’m lounging by the pool all day instead of creating. I don’t know what would give you that clue……
Just ignore that photo will ya? Oh and don’t look at my Instagram account.
But I am working on things. Always. If I’m not physically working on it than my brain is going non stop. So here’s what I am working on….
1. Planning the make over of Princess Newbie’s room –
Princess Newbie has a bland room. It has white walls, white curtains and a white dresser. When we first moved in I had planned to paint it purple with an accent wall that was painted in different shades of purple scallops. Then Princess Newbie decided that she doesn’t like purple, she likes teal. Teal scallops looked too much like waves so now the purple paint samples are still painted on her wall a year later and nothing else has been done.
The thing that does stick out in her room is her awesome VW Bug toddler bed which we all love. It’s an awesome bed. But the sad thing is that she’s outgrowing it! She’ll be 4 in August which is so sad.
Originally I was thinking about doing something like this, which is fun and fits who Princess Newbie is. But then the other day I realized that her room backs into attic crawl space and we could perhaps make her an alcove bed, such as this one, which would give her more free space in her room since she happens to have the smallest room in the house.
Slowly I’m going to start working towards getting her room transitioned from a toddler room to a colorful big girl room that she can grow into.
2. Dip dyed skirts for the girls –
Someone very graciously donated all their grandmother’s crafting supplies to me awhile back and inside one of the boxes I found a huge stack of basic white tshirts. They’re an older style and a little too thin to wear as they are but I was thinking about cutting off the arms and sleeves, adding elastic bands and making a very simple no hem skirt for the girls. (The bottom of the shirt would make the bottom of the skirt so it wouldn’t need to be hemmed). Then to help with the see through issue I was thinking about dip dying them.
3. Father’s Day Crafts.
Usually every year I make a special Father’s Day Tshirt for the girls to wear on Father’s day. The bottom of this post will show you all the Father’s Day Tshirts I’ve made for him over the years along with other great Father’s Day Crafts.
I might or might not be working on something but I can’t tell you because someone who might be a lot hairier than I am but have the same last name might read this blog……
That’s not even the full list but I can’t give away all of my secrets.
