Deviled Eggs have always been one of my favorite foods. But have you ever really stopped and thought about how deviled eggs get here? Hmmm? Maybe it’s true that Wicked Chickens Lay Deviled Eggs.
Many years ago (6 to be exact) I made a “Wicked Chickens Make Deviled Eggs” free printable. It’s still a great print but fonts have changed and it’s not just as popular as it used to be. Plus now there’s vinyl cutters and people want free cut files so they can make awesome projects using vinyl.
So rather than just redo the old chalkboard printable sign, I turned this saying into a vinyl cut file. But I’ll give it to you in .png format as well so if you don’t have a vinyl cutter and really want the newer format, you can save it and print it.
I tried to cut this out of freezer paper so I could use a freezer paper stencil but my Cricut mat needs to be cleaned so the freezer paper wouldn’t stick to it. So I ditched my plans and grabbed some black heat transfer vinyl to use instead. It was super easy to make and would make a great gift!
The file is large enough that you could also make this into a shirt for a crazy chicken lady or put it on a reverse canvas to hang in your kitchen.
As always and with any free resource found on Clumsy Crafter – this is for personal use only. You may not use this for commercial use.
Want to just print this? Here’s the .pdf format – Wicked Chickens Lay Deviled Eggs PDF that you can download.
If you’ve been waiting for the cut file, you can find them here:
DownloadMaybe we should stop asking which came first, the chicken or the egg, and instead ask where do deviled eggs come from?
I hope you enjoy this project. If you do love it, please take a second and share it on Pinterest.

Hi: I downloaded your svg file for the “Wicked Chickens…” and tried uploading it into Cricut’s Design Space and receive an error message about an invalid image. What am I missing? I really want to use this for a Christmas present for my sister in law.
I am having the exact same problem. Have you found a solution?
I am also having this problem. Has this issue been resolved and I am just doing it wrong. Please advise because I am supper new.
