Winter Did It.
There’s a point where I just can’t take it anymore. I’m there.
The sky is cloudy and the air is cold. I’m done.
Somewhere out there the sun is lurking but it won’t come out. Do you know why?
Winter did it.
Today the kids got up an hour early and bounced off every wall and even the ceilings. Do you know why?
Winter did it.
I painted an ugly vase to try and make it pretty. It turned out uglier. Do you know why?
Winter did it.
It’s hard to get up in the mornings because the room is cold. It’s harder to stay up in the afternoons because the sky is gray. Do you know why?
Winter did it.
The toilet backed up and the microwave broke. Do you know why?
Winter did it.
Creativity died under heavy eyelids as the freezing rain lulls you to sleep. Do you know why?
Winter did it.
The computer broke and the gloomy kitchen is too dark to take photos in. Do you know why?
Winter did it.
It’s true. Winter did it. I’m tired of gray, exhuasted from rain, and fed up with the cold. Winter did it. I need sun and to run in the warmer air. This South Texas girl isn’t used to winter and one thing is for sure – I’m over it!
The winter blues have set in and set in hard. This is something that even coffee and chocolate can’t fix. Only spring and new buds on the trees and leaves will cure this problem.
So let’s just call it……
Winter did it. Winter broke the blog.
I know I have the winter blues. -22 I can’t even imagine it! Stay warm!
