I was hesitant to share this picture here because I know someone will glance at it and not read the explanation. However the humor behind it finally convinced me to share it.
Simply this is one of my daughter’s writing assignment from the other day. I didn’t give them any rules or guidance other than they had to write a short story and use phonics to spell everything rather than the dictionary. I wanted to see where they were at with phonic rules, plain and simple.
This is what one of my daughter’s gave to me.
It is supposed to say, “I like cats and dogs. I like to shop and kittens I like too.”
I’ll wait until you finish laughing so hard you cry.
Yes she got “like” phonetically backwards. The e on the end is silent so she spelled it as she heard it, just backwards.
So no…. our kids do not like to kill cats and dogs. They love cats and dogs. Sometimes our pets probably think they’re trying to kill them or want to die from embarrassment of being stuffed into a pink princess dress once again. But all our animals are loved and cared for, and still here with us.

OMG. This is hilarious.

I came across you on Twiiter and decided to check out your blog. I’m so glad I did; your posts are so enjoyable to read and keep me laughing! When I read your “about page” I laughed when I read the part where you said that you love the outdoors–from a window! That is so me! We’re currently on vacation, and I’ve had to be outdoors for most of it! Now we’re on the tail end of vacation visiting family and I find out that my sister in law has planned 2 hikes for us (oh goody) as well as swimming both Sunday & Monday — did I mention that I loathe swimming?
Anyway, I look forward to following your blog and learning more about you! Feel free to visit my blog, http://www.graceunending.net, where I share about my life, faith, and overall journey that God has me on.
God bless!
